An Energy Statement is a calculation document which is submitted with your Planning Application, to demonstrate how a development will achieve the Local Authority's target for emissions.
This target is often a 10%, 15% or even 40% reduction in energy use or carbon emissions, additional to the target set in Part L of the Building Regulations.
