The Spinning Acres scheme in Headingley has been crowned “Best Small Development of the Year” at the 2018 Yorkshire Variety Residential Property Awards, an annual event which has raised over £200,000 in the last two years for the region’s most disadvantaged children.
This is the second award collected by the successful £40m build-to-rent village, having won the “Best New High-Volume Housing Development” accolade earlier this year at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) awards.
The first phase of the three-part scheme features townhouses, a coach house and a stable conversion, providing some of the finest rental accommodation available in the city – with the outlook to build an assortment of houses, flats and an over 65s development, creating a mixed community.
Leeds based developers Pickard Properties are overseeing the scheme, with architectural design from Halliday Clark, and M&E design and consultancy services from NOVO Integration.
"This is our most ambitious private rented scheme to date and we are particularly proud of what we have achieved so far. We see Spinning Acres evolving into a thriving new community for Far Headingley and we are hard at work now with the next phases which will become available in 2019 and beyond."
