Team Moh'VO: On Track for Triumph

Earlier this summer we met with Leeds’ own 15-year old racing prodigy, Moh Ritson, and sponsored him as he geared up to accelerate into the world of motorsport – starting with the Junior Saloon Car Championships over the summer.

Four months, five races and a 16th birthday later, Moh has returned to the NOVO Offices to catch up with directors Ben and Gavin and tell us all about his latest racing results and globe-trotting adventures.

Overjoyed with his latest result, Moh described how he ascended to fourth place from thirteenth in Anglesey just a fortnight before his visit, setting the fourth fastest lap time and achieving the best result of his racing career so far!

Prior to Anglesey, Moh took to the 2.1 mile-long track at Snetterton to get back to grips with his trusty Citroen Saxo, after taking time out to travel the Far East & Australia with his family over the summer. Qualifying went well and Moh finished in 11thplace – just 0.035 seconds outside of the top ten and only 1.434 seconds from pole position.

“It’s great to be back racing again. I didn’t realise how much I would miss it during the break. I’m very happy with the outcome of this event and it’s been fantastic from a learning perspective.  At this point in my motorsport career it’s important to get as much seat time as possible and absorb all the information I can from Sarah (Moore) and the team.”

Whilst on his sabbatical, not only did Moh meet front-running V8 Supercar star Scott McLaughlin, but he also spent a day karting with an ex Japanese F3 driver around the Makotrac International Racetrack! A fantastic way to celebrate turning 16, whilst also gaining invaluable experience and learning from some of the very best in the industry.

So, what’s next for Moh? This weekend (6th and 7th October) he will be taking on round 15 and 16 at Silverstone, and the final rounds (17 and 18) will take place at Oulton Park on 20th October (double points!).

We would like to wish Moh the very best of luck in his final races and look forward to hearing and seeing all about them!
