Employees Progressing Through College
Today, 20th September, Dan and Jamie will be starting their first year on the Building Services HNC/HND course at Leeds Building College. The course will run for three years on a day release basis every Wednesday. Also attending today is Jake who is completing the 2nd year of his BTEC.
Dan has previously attended Huddersfield technical college to achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation. From this he has gone on to complete his BTEC Level 3 diploma in Building Services in line with his current role at NOVO. During these courses Dan has improved his knowledge within building services to help with his development as an electrical engineer and will continue to do so during his current HNC course.
Jamie attended Leeds City College for two years and completed his BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Extended Diploma. From the variety of useful subjects studied, AutoCAD was a valuable skill which he had developed along with hand-drawings. The college provided the useful knowledge in Mechanical Engineering needed to progress on to the Level 5 Building Services course.
Jake coming from AS levels has now completed the 1st year of a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Building Services and has now started the 2nd year in which he is studying LTHW design, electrical principles and health and safety regulations.
All three employees are looking forward to continuing their studies.
Good luck guys!
