NOVO Integration Ltd: 2019 Highlights

Updated: Jan 15, 2020

2019 has been a year of excitement, prosperity and advancement for NOVO Integration Ltd.

We saw triumph in all aspects of our operation – with new clients and partnerships forged near and far; small community projects and high-profile towers delivered across an expanding multitude of sectors; employee promotions and staff development; prestigious award nominations and a dynamic brand overhaul to top it all off!

5 award nominations / 98 new project appointments / 627 EPCs issued

We have collaborated with architects, structural engineers, contractors, project managers, quantity surveyors and interior designers to deliver dynamic bespoke offices, fire stations, production facilities, modern and comfortable schools, luxury student and professional residencies, leisure centres and places of worship.

Many of our high-profile developments have reached completion in 2019, including:

We have celebrated the nomination, shortlisting and receipt of industry accolades and awards.

· Duresme Court, one of the UK’s most sustainable university accommodations, is a Regional Finalist for the 2020 Civic Trust Awards and on the shortlist for Property Week’s 'Private Halls of Residence of the Year' award.

· Local Blackfriars, completed earlier this year, has won the MixologyNorth 2019 award for ‘Living Project of the Year’ and is on the shortlist for the Insider North West Residential Property Awards.

York Road Library was also shortlisted for a Leeds Architecture Award 2019, and Oasis Residence was recognised by Financial Times as a ‘Hot Property’

3 promotions / 5 new team members

Staff recognition and acknowledgement have been a key aspect of our success in 2019. This year saw the promotion of Ed Prior to ‘Technical Associate’ and Chris Franks to ‘Mechanical Associate’, creating an Associate level team alongside John McCormack who re-joined the company as ‘Electrical Associate’ this year after working abroad.

Jake Allister, previously nominated as CIBSE Yorkshire’s ‘Apprentice of the Year’, was promoted this year to the position of ‘CAD Coordinator’ and is taking his training to the next level, strengthening the skills of the entire department as a result.

Jake Kay also re-joined the company this year, after spending a year with NOVO as part of his Mechanical Engineering studies in 2017. His position is now ‘Graduate Mechanical Engineer’, and he works alongside Michael Loughlin who joined in summer as a ‘Graduate Mechanical Engineer’.

We are also joined this year by office manager Deborah Dimbleby, and Cairn Pearson who became ‘Junior Sustainability Consultant’ this summer.

As part of our 2019 initiative to place people at the heart of our operations, we decided to support Calderdale Council’s ‘Our Stars’ staff recognition event by sponsoring their ‘Act of Kindness’ award, as an expression of our shared ethos.

We have worked closely with Calderdale Council over recent years as part of AHR’s multidisciplinary team, to deliver Moorside Community Primary School, Copley Primary School and the Halifax Academy. As part of our partnership, Calderdale Council’s media team has produced the following video about NOVO Integration and our staff culture.

Thank you to our staff, partners, clients, associations, suppliers and readers for supporting NOVO Integration through 2019.

Since NOVO means “to make new, to refresh, to revive” – we wish you all a very “Happy NOVO Year”, and look forward to all the opportunities, challenges and connections 2020 may bring.

Our Guiseley (Leeds) office will be closed from 24th December 2019 until 2nd January 2019, at 9am.
